My personal favorite music groups of the 90’s

Everybody has a favorite artist or music group; some even have multiple favorites at that! Most music groups from the 90’s have disbanded and have either gone solo or moved into a different section of the entertainment industry, such as the acting industry or have moved on to host television shows.

(N Sync are Back!, 2013)

Members of *NSync from left to right: JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick

But, my favorite music group of the 90’s is *NSync, I absolutely love all of their songs and still listen to them today. *NSync is a boyband that was formed in 1995-but any 90’s kid would know this. My favorite member of the band is JC Chasez, but I have always been a big fan of Justin Timberlake as well. Song-wise, I have a few favorites, they include:

1)    It’s Gonna be Me-From their “No Strings Attached” album
2)    Tearing up My Heart-From their self-titled album “*NSync”
3)    I Want You Back-Also from their self-titled album “*NSync”
4)    Girlfriend- From “The Essential *NSync album”
5)    Gone- From their “No Strings Attached” album

I know every word of the songs listed above and play them loud for the whole neighborhood to hear.

What Is My Favourite Toy?

I never really had one favourite toy, I had several favourites. One of my favourite toys was the Nintendo 64. Since I had an older brother, he and I both had a nice amount of games. Most of the time I would watch him play because he refused to play with me but that alone gave me a lot of happiness. I use to play a lot of the Mario games and Golden Eye. I would also play a lot of Diddy Kong Racing.
Another toy that was my favourite was my Tamagotchi. I had two of them and I brought them around everywhere that I went, I even brought it to a wedding.
Last, my other favourite toy was the Super Nintendo. My brother and I didn’t have as many games as we did for the Nintendo 64 but we still had a blast on it. Super Mario World was played on a regular as well as Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble. Aladdin was also another favourite game for me even though I was stuck on one level and couldn’t get any further.

These toys games kept me occupied for a long time and kept me out of my mom’s hair. To this day, every once and a while I still play the games and remember how amazing they are.

How To Keep The 90's Alive

Right now you can simply look around and you are definitely going to witness how much technology has evolved. Reading this right now you’re on a device whether it’s a laptop, computer, or a handheld device. Even though technology has evolved immensely, there are still ways to keep the 90’s alive.

Here are just a few ways:

·        If you’re like me, go in your closet and pull out that board game. Invite your friends over and make fun of how they can’t fit a simple diamond in that perfection board.
·         Pull out your Pokemon cards and have a Pokemon battle.
·         Pull out your Digivice and go for a walk. Have to battle? Make sure your fingers are ready for button mashing.
·         Put away your Playstation, Xbox or Wii. Pull out that Nintendo 64 or Super Nintendo. That’s where the real games are.
·         Grab that Game Boy and catch those original 150 Pokemon
·         Raise a pet on your Tamagotchi
·         Put down the phone and ride your bike over to a friend’s house

Slowly start to do these things and keep the 90’s alive!

Disney Movies from the 90's or movies from today?

Disney has been making movies ever since we were born and we have been loving them ever since. Disney movies always give the person or people watching it a sense that  you can do anything and good things can happen to you.

The best 90's movies we knew growing up were ones that could make us laugh and teach us lessons in life about friendship, family, and to be persistent (never give up). They had a way of making things simple, giving words a meaning we can relate to and make them memorable. Disney has been a part of our lives ever since we were born and we have continued the tradition all the way up until high school. Anytime there was an upcoming Disney movie us 90's kids would be counting down the days until it came out in theaters. Begging our parents to take us to this upcoming movie which may have been ToyStory2 , Goofy, and plenty of others.

For this particular post we wanted to give you the choice!

2013 Movie - Frozen

2001 Movie -Recess: School's Out

Tell me why you prefer Disney movies from the 90's rather Disney movies made today? (Vice Versa)

Post pictures of  your favorite Disney movie below showing which decade you prefer in watching the best 90's movies.

Video Games Played From The 90's

GoldenEye 007
This game was absolutely amazing. Although I was horrible at it, I would spend hours playing it just to practice for when I would eventually get to play with my dad, and I would still lose.

Super Mario 64
This game was probably one of the most time consuming games. Especially since my brother beat the game and I ended up deleting the file by accident so I had to get as far as possible without him noticing that anything ever happened. Spoiler alert, he noticed. You always got a sense of accomplishment when you would beat bowser, and then get pissed off when you found out that you had to beat him again, and again.

Pokemon Blue and Red
This game was mostly amazing because it was playable on a system that you could bring to all your friend’s house to show off that legendary Pokemon you just caught. Too bad I wasn’t able to experience that. It definitely was my destiny to catch all of the Pokemon, however, it seemed like a lot of hard work and at that age, I wasn’t ready for commitment.

Mario Kart 64
This game was definitely the destroyer of friendships. Once that blue shell got shot out, all hell broke loose.  And those bananas, don’t get me started. All in all, this game was amazing. Rainbow road was THE track to race on, mostly because of that huge downhill that you would fly off of right at the beginning.

Super Mario World

This game was amazing mostly because you got to ride on a dinosaur’s back and half of the levels you could literally fly through. Like every Mario game, you constantly get frustrated having to beat Bowser countless times but the levels are amazing and countless hours will be spent on this game.

Space Jam

This 1996 movie is one of the Best 90's movie by far which Stared NBA legend Michael Jordan and famous teletoon character Bugz Bunny and his whole gang. The movie is a different story to how Michael Jordan retired and made his way back to the NBA after two years. Space Jam was popular and known worldwide because of the well known characters from Looney Tunes kids can identify.  After speaking with many kids that were born in the 90's that Space Jam is the best basketball movie of the 90's and better than any made to this day. After the aliens stole NBA basketball players talent to ensure they were going to beat the Tunes in a basketball game. Jumanji

One of the most memorable 90's movie that was watched by us 90's, especially at my house which was played several times throughout the year after it came out. After a chest was buried a hundred years earlier, Allan Parrish played by Robin Williams finds the chest at a construction site after escaping a group of guys trying to beat him up. After started playing the game "Jumanji" with his friend Sarah, he gets sucked into the game. After being trapped in Jumanji for twenty six years Allan returns after a family moves into the house and ultimately has to deal with all the challenges this game is going to bring.

Home Alone

A 90's kid favorite which showed a young kid home alone during Christmas after waking up late to go to the airport. Kevin McCallister played by Macaulay Culkin  out smarts thieves  in order to protect his house. This was one of the best 90's movies because it is regularly played on Television during the Christmas season and was watched by us 90's almost every day during that period. They made a few  more movies  of Home Alone were they were almost as popular as the first.
